This policy explains the general principles governing how Diversified Payday responds to requests for information from law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, and other governmental authorities.

1. Purpose
This policy promotes transparency regarding requests for Customer information received from governmental authorities.
Nothing in this policy limits Diversified Payday's obligations under applicable law or any valid legal process.
2. General Principles
Diversified Payday seeks to:
- Protect Customer information.
- Comply with applicable law.
- Respond only to requests believed to be legally valid or otherwise required by law.
- Limit disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the applicable request.
- Protect the integrity and security of the Services.
3. Types of Requests
Diversified Payday may receive requests from:
- Courts.
- Law enforcement agencies.
- Regulatory agencies.
- Government investigators.
- Administrative agencies.
- Tax authorities.
- Other governmental entities with lawful authority.
Requests may include subpoenas, warrants, court orders, administrative demands, or other lawful legal process.
4. Review of Requests
When appropriate, Diversified Payday may review requests to determine whether they appear to:
- Be issued by an authority with lawful jurisdiction.
- Identify the requested information with reasonable specificity.
- Be legally sufficient on their face.
- Require a response under applicable law.
Diversified Payday may seek clarification where appropriate.
5. Customer Notification
Where legally permitted and reasonably appropriate, Diversified Payday may notify an affected Customer before producing Customer information.
Notification may not occur when:
- Prohibited by law.
- Prohibited by court order.
- Subject to a valid nondisclosure requirement.
- The circumstances involve an emergency.
- Notification could interfere with an investigation.
- Notification could create a significant risk of harm.
6. Emergency Requests
Diversified Payday may disclose information without prior Customer notice where Diversified Payday reasonably believes disclosure is required or permitted by law to address an emergency involving death, serious physical injury, or another circumstance recognized by applicable law.
7. Information That May Be Disclosed
When legally required or otherwise permitted by applicable law, Diversified Payday may disclose information such as:
- Account registration information.
- Customer contact information.
- Account records.
- Billing information.
- Audit information.
- Login information.
- Payroll-related records.
- Customer communications.
- Other information responsive to the applicable legal request.
Only information reasonably believed to be responsive to the request may be disclosed.
8. Preservation of Records
Diversified Payday may preserve Customer information where required by law, legal process, litigation holds, regulatory obligations, or other lawful preservation requirements.
Preservation does not necessarily mean information will be disclosed.
9. Confidentiality
Where permitted by law, Diversified Payday seeks to maintain the confidentiality of Customer information throughout the legal process.
Nothing in this policy requires Diversified Payday to disclose internal security procedures, investigative methods, or privileged information.
10. International Requests
Diversified Payday primarily serves businesses operating within the United States.
Requests originating outside the United States may be handled in accordance with applicable law and any relevant legal process.
11. Changes to This Policy
Diversified Payday may update this policy to reflect changes in law, government practices, or business operations.
The Last Revised date and Version number will be updated when material changes are published.
